Organization Overview
Vision Statement
Reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect in our community. Build capacity within our neighborhoods. Coordinate resources and services in our community.

Our Mission
The South Washington/West of the River Family Strengthening Collaborative develops and/or coordinates resources and services in our community (e.g. residents, churches, schools, businesses, non-profit agencies and civic groups) to build the capacity of our residents and organizations, to reduce the conditions leading to child abuse and neglect by supporting and promoting the social, emotional, physical, spiritual and economic growth and stability of our children, youth, and families.
Goal
The SWWR had a goal of serving one hundred and fifty (150) families comprised of one hundred and twenty (120) community cases and thirty (30) supportive assistance cases.
Through the joint efforts of Collaborative staff, partner agencies, and residents, this year (2005), we were successful in servicing one hundred and eighty-five (185) families comprised of one hundred and thirty-one (131) community cases and fifty-four (54) supportive assistance cases.
I am sure that the intensity of our service provision enabled these families to better address their challenges.
Our Motto:
Strengthening Families ~ Strengthening Community ~ Strengthening Lives
